Last night I was flipping through the television channels and came across Larry King Live. He was interviewing Suzanne Somers. I came in on the last few minutes so I didn’t see the whole thing. From what I can gather, she got breast cancer 5 years ago and beat it by eating nautural whole foods. You could tell that Larry King didn’t quite believe her or didn’t really know what to think. However I completely believe she beat cancer by diet alone. I’ve taken an interest in organic foods and nautural health stuff and I am amazed at how badly we are abusing our bodies and don’t even realize it. All of those preservatives and stuff that they put in food is what is actually making us sick.

Think about it food is not supposed to last weeks. It doesn’t in the wild. Food grows, it is good for its nautural life span and then it dies and goes back into the soil to nourish the next generation of food. It’s all apart of life’s cycle. A cycle we think we are beating by adding all these preservatives and flavor enhancers and whatnot but actually, in turn, is beating us because our bodies were not created to handle all this unnautural crap.

The last few days before I decided to do something about my health, I really was feeling like crap. I couldn’t think straight, I was always tired and didn’t ever want to do anything. So for the last week what I’ve begun doing is I exchanged my juice drinks and soda for water. On Friday and Saturday I drank an Odwalla super green foods drink because of all the vitamins and minerals it has and then today I started taking a multivitamin. Already I feel so much better. I know there is much more work to be done before I’m back to full health but at least I can think straight now and don’t feel like I’m constantly walking through a thick fog.

I truly believe the body will heal itself of any disease as long as we give it what it needs to do so. That doesn’t always mean running to the doctor and getting drugs. I think the legal drugs are just as bad, if not worse, than the illegal drugs. At least with illegal drugs they are willing to tell you all the bad things that can go wrong by taking them. With the legal drugs, they want you to become addicted so they try to hide the bad stuff by saying it really quickly or putting it in tiny print. Have you ever looked at a magazine ad for drugs? They have the benefits in huge print at the top and the drawbacks in really tiny print at the very bottom.

Suzanne Somers said something very interesting. She said that we should be happy to live as long as we were biologically destined to live and die healthy instead of taking drugs to prolong our lives and spending those extra years sick and tired. I have to say that I agree completely and as such I shall strive to change my entire diet over to a nautural one.
